What are ERGs?

Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are employee-led community groups, focused on specific identities or experiences of people, that offer personal and professional support, social advocacy, and a safe space to be your authentic self.


At Shipt, ERGs are built by the current and future leaders of our organization — a group of passionate employees who go above and beyond to support a diverse, engaged, and purpose-driven community.

We support our ERG leaders by

  • Providing a work allocation model that empowers ERG leadership to focus on their core professional responsibilities in conjunction with their ERG commitments
  • Strategically positioning leads to push themselves in areas of personal and professional growth and development
  • Aligning ERG responsibilities with Shipt’s end of year review process, so that team members' ERG leadership and contributions are recognized and considered in their annual performance and pay review
  • Offering regular counsel, support, and advocacy from two Executive Sponsors
