3 Dry January Mocktails for Your New Year's Resolutions

Between reuniting with family and ringing in the new year with friends, it’s easy to overindulge in December — especially when it comes to our favorite boozy beverages. So if you’re kicking off Dry January, we’ve got three mocktail ideas for you that are still a cause for celebration. Next time you’re ready to indulge, enjoy a thirst-quenching grapefruit mocktail, a healthy Bloody Mary, or a refreshing Thai iced coffee — and cheers to a new year! 

3 Mocktails for 2020 

Ingredients Festive Grapefruit and Rosemary Cocktail 
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 rosemary sprigs
  • 1/2 cup pink grapefruit juice
  • 1 tbsp rosemary simple syrup 
Healthy Brunch Bloody Mary
  • 4 large tomatoes 
  • 1/2 cup basil leaves
  • 2 tbsp pickle juice
  • 1 tsp Tabasco sauce 
  • 3-4 squirts Worcestershire sauce 
  • 1/8 tsp oregano
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper
  • Cubed ice
  • Celery
  • Rosemary
  • Blue cheese olives 
Energizing Thai Iced Coffee
  • 1/2 cup ground black coffee
  • 2 tsp ground cardamom 
  • Water
  • Crushed Ice
  • 1 tsp almond extract
  • 1 tsp condensed milk 
Directions Festive Grapefruit and Rosemary Cocktail  1. Combine water, granulated sugar, and rosemary sprigs in a saucepan and heat until sugar is dissolved. Refrigerate mixture for 1 hour to create simple syrup.   2. Pour grapefruit juice and simple syrup into serving glass, and add one sprig of rosemary for garnish. Sip away!  Healthy Brunch Bloody Mary 1. Cut tomatoes into small chunks and saute over medium heat. Add basil leaves, pickle juice, Tabasco sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and oregano.   2. Let mixture simmer for 10-15 minutes, until tomatoes are dissolved and saucy. Season with sea salt and black pepper. 3. Add mixture to blender and blend until smooth. Refrigerate until chilled.  4. Fill a glass with cubed ice. Pour in the tomato mixture and add celery, olives, and rosemary for garnish.  Energizing Thai Iced Coffee 1. Add ground coffee and cardamom to French Press, and pour in hot water. Let steep for 4-5 minutes and plunge the press.  2. Fill a glass with crushed ice. Pour in the coffee, and add almond extract and condensed milk. Stir to blend.  3.
